I thought that too, at first, but realized I wouldn't be dragging my 360 around outside of the home lol. Also, I paid $217 for the 16GB, no taxes on that "No Tax School Week" at Wal Mart.
Niiiice ...and I thought my 16Gb Nexus 7 for $224.99 out the door was a bargain!
I have a favorite uncle who liked to say "it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have."
rooting and picking up USB OTG to use external cards, the 8gb is fine for you.
I have the 8gb because I will never need 16gb. I stream everything. I have WiFi basically everywhere I go. And if I need it on the road. I will just move files then.
I'm going to be developing Android apps, so I want the better device. And at just $50 more, why not...
It's nice to have the latest and greatest once in awhile.![]()
What's rooting?

Certain read/write speeds are better on the 8gb model. So labeling the 16gb as the "greatest" is just silly.
Everything is moving to the cloud broseph.
I would think when he said "better" device he meant better because it has more storage.
But on a side note, the 16GB did seem slightly faster than the 8GB overall. Though I'm guessing it's not enough anyone would probably notice the difference.
