17 hours wow!!!

He's right though. You must not be using your phone if you're getting 17 hours. What was your display time on at the time of that picture being taken? I'm guessing <1 hour?

After 7 hours with my display on for 2 hours my phone was down to 58% (on WiFi). After 7 hours with my display on for 2 hours on 4G my phone dies.

I could also easily get 17 hours without using my phone...

Wow your battery is better than mine now. Good to hear it all worked out. These smart phones are wonky.

I have been using my phone all day to talk, I could hardly do that before. As I stated I posted this for the people that could not take their phone off the charger at all without it dying, I was one of those people. I just wanted them to know that defected battery is not always the case just takes some adjusting thats all. If my phone was charged and off the charger I couldn't even get two hours.

What was your display on time at 17 hours?

Hey Iovy, you posted on my Juice Defender & Block buster help, remember I helped you out a bit?

dam 17 hours is insane, what other additional tweaks did you do besides the ones in that old post I told you to do?

Hi Icy, yea Im happy that I no longer die while phone off the charger, and Thank you so much for helping me. I was basically talking all day lol, if you remember that's something I couldn't do before. As for display time I just checked it guys and your right its pretty low it say 56 minutes, but I been on the phone talkingall day. As I stated I am still learning and I only post this for the people who phone has been dying while off the charger, and while in sleep mode. I guess talking don't take much battery but it took mine when I first got it, my battery life was so bad I thought my phone was defected. Icy that part wasn't for you because you know my story.

Maybe I missed it, but how much time did you spend while using the 4G network? I can tell already that its the 4G that REALLY drains the battery...

You have not been using your phone "all day to talk". Go to your phone and add up the total time for your calls for the time period.

You know what I am going to have this post removed I apologize if anyone feel that I have mislead them as I stated this was for the people who were losing extreme amounts of battery while phone off the charger.

Why do you feel the need to rain on his parade?

Congrats Iovy, glad you are finally able to enjoy this great phone.

Because claiming 17 hours of battery life and saying that he used his phone all day is a lie.

The official talk time specs are only something around 6 hours so saying "all day" is obviously not true. Also, what good is it to talk about great battery life when he didn't use the phone for anything but a few phone calls?

I'm going to fully charge my phone (with extended battery), not use it for anything and then post a thread saying "OMG 48 hours of battery life".

In other words, whats the point of owning a Thunderbolt if you don't use it?

I would never do that I don't even know why I am responding to such ignorance this is the last response you will get from me. I was helped here a great deal and I would never mislead anyone like that. You have a nice day

17 hours doesn't surprise me cause I've gone as far as 24. Most of it spend in a 4G area.

I'm at 6 hours and 57 minutes with 45% left with moderate-heavy usage...4G signal all day long ...so it is possible... it depends on what you have running on your phone. Yesturday I had 16 hrs with light usage. Now that I can screen capture.. I will post my percentages later tonight showing what I have running/used and overall battery time.
Your battery life is going to vary between each person. Not everyone has the same conditions when it comes to using the phone.

Hi Sho I am trying not to respond anymore (nothing against you) because I simply put it up here so that the people who were having problems losing battery while phone was off the charger like myself will know that is takes conditioning and time for the phone to get used to the way they use the phone. I did not try to mislead anyone. I am also 4G :).
