1796 pops up on my screen... what does that mean?

I have a Samsung S5. On occasion I get a popup on my screen, can be any screen I'm using. it's always near the bottom. Inside a gray oval there are the numbers, in white, and it just says 1796. That's all.

Anyone know what this means?

Try turning it off. I don't know if it off will help, but you'll see. (Maybe your phone wants to go back to the 18th century.)

If you can get it fast enough, long press the notification and see if you get a little menu with App info on it. Press that and at least you'll know what app is doing it. Or pull down the notifications and see if there's anything there you don't recognize and do the same thing - long-press it, then press App info.

Possible / probable malware? If it were my phone factory hard reset / wipe would be in order. Then you are going to want to think about what apps you installed recently and maybe not install it.
