2.1 bug?

Im rooted with official 2.1 and earlier today, my screen went blank and SU request was at the top of the screen. No way to get out of it either except to hard restart. It came back! Had to nanrestore. Not sure if it was the phone or maybe an app I had. I had an emulator that gave me the command prompt on my phone. When I restored, app is no longer there n problem is gone. Just curious if ne one else had a prob similar to this. Thanks.
