2.1 - no 'save link' in browser

I installed 2.1 on my hero, now on webpages that have "download" links, i used to be able to hold my finger on it and "save link" would be an option. Now I don't see that. Do you know if I need to change something or if there is another way for me to save links to files?

When I go to the browser settings, 'download storage' is greyed out, not sure this info helps.

formatting the sd card from within android fixed this problem.

Before I upgraded I took the sd card out and plugged it in to windows and erased everything on it.
