2.3.4 Rolling out now. Official thread HERE!!

Hi there,

Kinda new to the forum. I wanted to update my nexus s to 2.3.4 manually. I need to know where I have to place the downoaded file "Place it on the root of your internal storage" I had a nexus one previously no sd card on nexus s. Where is the root of my internal storage?

Thanks in advance.

Just go to the download link and download it on your phone. Then just follow the rest of the steps. Download the file straight to your phone. No need to plug your phone into the computer.

The Nexus S internal storage behaves the same way your SD card on the Nexus One does. Just plug your USB cord and mount the drive as you would have in your Nexus One to access the storage.

I was able to select it in recovery mode but when it verifies the package it fails could not verify whole signature.

Do i need to rename the file?

Okay so you want to update using the GT-i9020A update which is the update for the AT&T capable Nexus S, is this the update you were having problems with, or was it the GT-i9020T update?

I'm very new to Android so this is my first OTA update.

My phone seems to be stuck on a white triangle with an orange exclamation mark in the middle?

Is this what it looks like while it's updating, or has something gone wrong?

Well after 10+ minutes I figured nothing was happening so I pulled the battery. It rebooted just fine, still on 2.3.3 though. But now I don't have the update notification anymore? :(
