20,000+ Contacts - Upgrade to 4.4 frozen

I have over 20,000 contacts in my phone. When upgrading today the phone seems stuck on upgrading contacts database. Any idea how long this process will take?

Is it still frozen? Even with that any contacts it shouldn't take very long or be frozen. Reboot and see if it clears out. Also, check to see if your contacts are actually updating in the contacts app.
