Just got off the phone with T-mobile.
The first gentleman I spoke with said: "You never went to tmobile dot com slash promotions before 10/27 to apply for the $200 echeck from LG. As a result, you're not eligible for the $200 echeck from LG."
I said: "Listen to the recorded audio of my conversation with the rep when I purchased the phone. No one from tmobile ever said I needed to do that. I was told that after I submitted any 4G phone, that T-mobile would take care of requesting the $200 echeck from LG."
He replied: "The requirement for you to apply via tmobile dot com slash promotions was most likely a detail in the terms and conditions that nobody ever reads. But I will offer you a $100 courtesy credit to your account, but can't compensate you for the full $200."
I told him $100 is better than $0. He credited my account $100.

Part 2:
Still not comfortable with half of what I was originally promised, I reviewed all my correspondence with T-mobile.
I've been calling in on the promotional $200 credit for a while now. In a mid-November conversation with Tmobile, the rep assured me I'd be receiving $200 - and I asked her to send me an email confirmation of the conversation. The email was received 11/17.
Armed with evidence of the email, I placed a second call to tmobile - admitting to the courtesy $100 credit, but now armed with evidence of a confirmation email. The rep said that, because I was promised the $200 credit in writing, she would honor it with an additional $100 account credit.
.
45 minutes later I now have the $200 promised credit for the purchase of a V20 from T-Mobile. But it surely seems that the promotion was run with undisclosed caveats/requirements - and those who didn't discover and fulfill the requirements by 10/27 are left without their $200 rebate.
.
Good luck with your efforts at a refund. You can rest assured I'll be HIGHLY SKEPTICAL of any future T-mobile promotional offers!!!!!
