Just wanted to say I just ordered the 2150 Mah battery from verizon. I'll post pics when I receive it or if any others have comments on it please add.

Edit: Adding photos to the first post here. I'm no pro photographer so sorry for the quality. I used the original Dinc.

does this fit in the stock door?

No. you get the battery and new cover. looks like it adds just a few mm to the overall design. I can live with that since its a thin phone. I had it on original dinc and it didnt bother me at all. I don't use cases though.

ahh i see.. yeah i just ordered the mobi-hand case which looks really nice so i guess no extended battery for me :( i guess its not too bad seeing as how all the reviews on batt life are quite excellent.

I would like to see it but the battery life I'm gettting at the moment is 'incredible' :D

yea battery has been great but I want it for the days when I'm away from charger for a long period of time.

Did you have a chance to take a picture of it with the new door yet? Or has it even come in yet? Thanks.

I prob jumped the gun starting this thread but figured it would give people time to ask any question or whatever concerns they had. I'm hoping to get it today or tomorrow and have pics up friday morning.

any reviews/pictures? i'm considering getting it also, but need to wait and give my phone a few more days to settle down before i pull the trigger on this. i also think the added thickness will make it more of a better hold/fit in my hands.

Ok got the battery charged up last night and its been off the charger for 10 hrs now and am sitting at 54%. I've done some facebook, twitter, little browsing, wordfued, hbogo for about a half hour. I do think it feels really good in the hand. Adds a little weight but not to much. Still feels light. in battery setting phone says 76% under display if that helps any. I'm sorry I didn't get pics posted this morning but something came up. I will get them up tonight for sure. Any special requests for pics? Only thing I can't do is side by side obviously.

Edit...just to add I've texted gtalk emailed and some youtube as well. I'm pretty impressed so far. Hoping to get all the way through the day on this one charge

Thanks for the pics. :D Since the battery cover is the entire back of the phone you don't get the hump like on the Thunderbolt. BTW, does HTC make the battery cover part of the antenna on the DINC2 like they did with the Bolt?

Yes they do, actually had the back off while trying to monkey with something and lost pretty much all reception.....of course it is shotty where I am anyway...but that didn't help

Anyway, haha, yes the antenna is built into the battery door

ohh thats interesting. if the antenna is built into the battery door... could cases affect reception at all?

Never heard of that issue with the Thunderbolt but it probably means any custom battery door will have to be OEM to insure the antenna connections on the door.

No more than a wall of a building will effect it

And as far as having to have OEM doors, I know that seidio has put the antennas in their doors and worked before; ie, TBolt: seidioonline.com

I got the extended battery when I bought my phone. I love it. I charged it up and was really busy with the phone. Setting up my phone, tons of downloading apps. Trying out different apps. Streaming music, making phone calls and tons of texting. I let it go uncharged for 30 hours by then it had dropped to 40%. I did plug it in at that point because I was going to be away from a charger for a day or two and wanted a full charge. I also live in an area that has low signal quality in some places. I actually like the feel of the phone better with the ext. battery. The stock batt and door always felt like it was easy to drop or get knocked out of my hand. The couple of mm that the new battery gives the phone makes a natural place to hold the phone better while using it. Has great balance. I think the extended battery could easily go 2 days with heavy usage, longer with typical. I also use it to tether on the wifi hotspot. I highly recommend the extended battery if you want the extra freedom of a longer charge.

Not sure if you really have to but I charged fully before using. I just switched out the battery before bed and let it charge over night.
