2150 mAh battery and I LIKE IT!!!!

I got 20 hours out of my phone, not sure why others are having issues. I was using Google Talk most of the day, using the Engadget app, heavy phone usage, surfing the web, synching two email accounts; one exchange that gets messages as they arrive, one IMAP checking emails every five minutes, updating the weather app, WiFi, took a ton of pictures along with a few videos, have had the screen on for extended periods while showing slide shows of all my pics and playing around with a few games and browsing the App store. I forgot to plug my phone in overnight and when I woke up the next morning, the battery indicator was sitting at "yellow", still had a decent charge.

Same here! 21hr 46mins and 16secs beep beep 14% battery alert!

what are you guys using to cut the back of your cases? I just got this battery and would love to still be able to use my case

I honestly don't know if they will release extended battery cases... Most people won't buy the extended battery, so most companies probably won't spend the money developing a new case... Just my opinion...

So, this morning I decided I was going to "Bump Charge" the 2150... I charged the phone overnight powered off... Then I decided I didn't want to do the whole power on then off song and dance routine, so I unplugged the charger, waited for the LED to go out, and plugged it back in... Voila! Orange charge light... It stayed orange for about 30 minutes... When green, I did the same thing... No power on/off, just unplugged, plugged back in. Again, charging for 30 minutes currently... Maybe the whole power on/off routine is unnecessary... I'll post later to see if this "Bump" worked.

well I borrowed a dremmel and got my case to fit, not as good and precise as the dentist but it does the trick and the battery life is awesome!

Damn thing only made it until 515 today. Amazon better get them 3500 in to ship! Most days I make it all day and go to bed with about 23% left. I hope big red gives me 30 days for this to.

How do you use the phone that kills the battery so quickly and how many hours are you getting on a charge?

WiFi,Bluetooth and.some.gps. I start talking an my phoneby 6am. I'm in construction and on the phone for hours on end. Yep I always have big ass batterys.

Thanks for posting...I will have my extended battery tomorrow and I started having some serious doubts so I'm happy to see some pics up. Not as hideous looking as I was thinking mine would end up looking.

Yeah still on the fence about ordering one. Today I used my phone a lot, I'm in IT so wireless tethering, sending/recieving files, email, checking out sites, talking on the phone, sending/recieving SMS/MMS/Gtalk etc are all an order of business for the day. So I would consider myself a heavy user. However I only need my phone to last between 10-12 hours and after that I'm at home....on bad days, most days I'm near a computer all day long and not running from place to place.

Today after recalibrating my battery (root needed) I am sitting at 16hr 28m 19s since I unplugged and still have 27% battery. So I'm still being pulled both way as it would be nice to add in GPS during the day to use it to go places, without plugging in a charger, instead of my gps, but it would kill the battery quickly. So I'm still on the fence on this one, the 3500 is a definite no go way to big for my taste.

To me the extended batteries may look nasty but feel great in my hand. I only look @ the screen most of the time. I love this phone and want to be able to use it how I want not just the way I have to because I'm afraid that my batteries going to die. I'm not scared just don't want to have to charge this bad boy during the day, bring on that big 3500.

the 2150 isnt raelly that big. the original pics of it naked makes it look just ugly. but in reality it isnt much bigger than stock if you're using a case. i have the black silicone case from Verizon and i basically just cut out a spot on it so the lump of the battery could pertrude and it doesnt stick out much more than when there was a piece of rubber there (the case). My hand actually holds it better and I like the heaviness it adds to the phone.

I also have a theory.. if I were to "drop" the phone from a few feet up.. maybe since the battery is heavier.. the phone will land on the battery side versus the screen side? i dunno just a theory. but so far.. it's been unplugged since 5:30am.. now 9:30am.. 4 hours.. used it to surf facebook, talk 30 minutes on the phone, update a few apps.. and it's at 89%. my seidio 1750mah battery would have been at 70 or 75% by now.

I'll update by the end of the day/night before I charge it to see.. usually on my daily routine my Seidio 1750mah would be about 20-30% by the end of the day with moderate use.. from 5am until 9pm unplugged.

I just got my 2150 last night and charged it up to full. I also grabbed verizon's cheapest silicone case and cut it to hell with scissors to accomodate the battery. I got a 25% discount on all that as a University of Arizona student too. I'm going to file or dremel the rough edges of the case this weekend so it looks a little nicer, but I'm not extremely concerned about it. It already looks fine unless you're really staring at it.

I'll echo what everyone else who actually has one is saying and say that it doesn't make the phone look bad or too big, it actually feels nicer in your hand. Granted, I have big hands, but I always felt like the incredible was a little "not grippy" when you hold it. The battery gives your palm something to cup around and makes holding it feel a bit more secure. It feels a little like holding an iPhone 3Gs (in a good way). The only thing I don't like about it is it hides the cool red ring around the camera lens.

Also, the replacement back does seem to be a little thicker, which makes the power button harder to press. I lucked out though because the case I got covers the power button anyway and has sort of a nub that you use to push the power (and volume) buttons through the case, so it's not noticeable for me. However, if you plan to use the phone naked, it might be.
I also have a theory.. if I were to "drop" the phone from a few feet up.. maybe since the battery is heavier.. the phone will land on the battery side versus the screen side? i dunno just a theory.

Probably not, since heavier objects don't actually fall faster than light ones. There is a grain of truth to your theory because it would change weight distribution against the air resistance as it falls, but unless you're dropping it off a third floor window, air resistance isn't going to have enough time to make much of a difference.
