2150 mAh battery and I LIKE IT!!!!

Thanks CRKhead. The nearest Verizon store is over 60 miles away, plus I don't have the battery yet, but do have the holster. I didn't want to order the battery if I was going to have to buy a new holster. I'm trying to keep my costs down.

The silicone cases are really thick. If your phone fits in your holster snug with the silicone case on it, then it should fit with the extended battery without the silicone case.

Update:

New pics of case modified to accommodate larger battery on first page. I purchased 2 cases and will be taking my time with the 2nd one, as I'm not too keen on how this one turned out

I have the Siedio 1750mAh battery and got the external charger along with it. When the battery charges in the phone, no matter how I do it, it will drop pretty quickly from Max on BatteryTime Lite to 94% or so. When I put the battery in the external charger, it stays on Max for considerably longer before it starts to drop. There is clearly something wrong with HTC's hardware, charging software calibrations or both.

I posted about this about a month ago over at androidforums.com. I was using the Google Maps Navigation and my whole ride there I had it plugged into the car charger. My battery showed 100% the whole trip. I got there unplugged my phone and it instantly dropped to 58%. The phone wasn't in the sun and never felt any hotter than my Blackberry Storm did when using nav. I could have maybe chalked it up to overheating but on the way back I started with 42% battery and plugged it in and used navigation. Got home and was at 89%. So since it never made it to 100% it never stopped charging.

I am 100% positive that it stops using the power from the charger once it reaches 100% too. Definitely the first phone I've ever had that behaves this way. My wife has the MyTouch Slide. If we use her phone for nav and its at 100% it will still be at 100% when we reach our destination and unplug her phone. She also doesn't have to do any bump charging. Not sure what the deal is since it's an HTC phone as well.

I experienced this same issue with my old battery. On a trip to Ohio, attached to car charger, my device would stop charging after a while and start to drain battery rather quickly on Nav. Funny thing, it didnt happen on the way back. Was this an anomaly? Is this standard function? What exactly causes this to appen one time and not another?
Now that I have my new 2150, hope it will not be an issue.

Well I'm going back to 1750 my battery. Still only getting .8 hours outa of heavy use

.8 or "8" hours of use. I hope you mean 8. If you are getting the same amount of time on the battery then I wouldn't put the larger battery on it and save size/weight.

I am using Battery Droid.... clean and simple. Percentage on the outside shows as an icon. Gives you stats like milivolts (dont know exact units its in, phone not near me) and temperature plus more if you open the app.

I don't know what to tell you. My use is very browser heavy with tons of calls and e-mails and I can get through the day no sweat. For me, the battery has been fantastic. In fact, it exceeds my expectations.

That is weird... I used the crap out of the phone today and a friend of mine who got addicted to this Air Traffic Control type puzzle game played for 2 hours straight tonight and I got 18 hours out of the battery... No bump charging...

I got my 2150 battery yesterday (25% employer discount). I gave it a full charge in my Seidio external charger to make sure that it's properly topped off. I can't really comment on the battery life just yet, although after some use this morning, it's holding at Max charge. As far as the added thickness with the new back goes, it's not a problem for me. I actually like both the look and the feel of the phone with the added bulk. I have two Case Logic vertical belt clip cases and the phone fits comfortably in either. I have an HTC soft silicone bumper and, with an Exacto blade, cut the entire middle section out so that it fits perfectly over the new back and and the phone edges (the cut edges are a bit ragged). The only problem with is that it's surface isn't smooth like the other bumpers ot hard cases so there's some drag when I take the phone out of the case. I may fool around with my other cases and may just go with the phone naked in the case. It really feels good in my hand.

well I bit the bullet and got this battery, I really don't want to loose my case and that's the big reason I was up and down about it, but hopefully I can cut the back out of the case I have and it will work just as well

need the extra battery life though plus with my work discount it cost me 39.99 instead of 59.99 so that was a bonus

I've got a few apps that like to start running on their own and I have to go in and kill them. Not sure what this happens but if I don't go in to kill them, they start draining my battery.

Ok, I'm sold. Had my battery for almost a week now and its holding like it should have to begin with. Now I dont worry about going out and losing battery. And I am a heavy user, email, text, internet, widget/ apps.... I may have to give one of the case mods a whirl. The mods you guys have done so far and posted pics are awesome. Well done.

just took delivery of the Verizon 2150mAh battery with case and contrary to what i'd initially thought after seeing the photos; i find myself actually preferring the extended back to the original!

where the original INC is very sleek, it was just too thin for my taste and just didn't hold in my hand as surely as the new back. Now, with the case extended; there is a bit more to grab and it's even more assuring to hold and not be worried about accidentally dropping it.

don't know about actual up time yet, but will have that after a few cycles.

If i find that the battery does indeed provide a substantial increase in uptime, i'll be putting my OEM 1500mAh and Seidio case up for sale; $40 for both.

Curious.... whats the metal button on the back of your case?

I have been using mine since Friday and it definitely lasts a loooong time. I was already getting about 20-24 hours worth with the standard battery though. With the 1300mAH battery I would take it off the charger at around 8:30am (after a bump charge, phone on) and when i would go to sleep around 1-2:30am I would be anywhere from 15% to 40% left depending on my usage. With this battery I haven't been able to drop it below 50% throughout the day even with what I consider heavy usage. I do miss how thin the phone is with the stock battery though.
