2600mAh battery from e-bay

Mine came today. I haven't used the battery yet, and I'm not sure when I will as I also have the Seidio 3500 (for now, might return it) but the first thing I notice is the back cover is not even close to flush when fully snapped in place. You can see all kinds of red from the inside of the phone through many cracks on all sides. Anyone else notice this? I do prefer the look of the flat back over the Seidio steps but not if it doesn't fit perfectly. Dang it  Glad it was only $11

Weird, mine fits perfectly, it is completely flush.

I bought this charger....
WALL Charger For Verizon HTC Droid Incredible Battery - eBay (item 260643637799 end time Aug-01-10 10:50:57 PDT)

And this battery...
Extended Battery+Cover For Verizon HTC Droid Incredible - eBay (item 180521039714 end time Aug-14-10 02:37:22 PDT)

Bought battery on 07/24 and the charger on 08/01. They both arrived yesterday. I charged the battery until charger said was done and stuck it in the phone, along with new back cover. Really makes the phone thick. Not sure I like the feel yet.

I put battery in about 5pm. Been using internet a bit, on wifi entire time. Battery setting at 76% right now. Not too impressed. Will top off charge and see how it does at work tomorrow. Stayed home tonight to get some rest....have been without ac since Monday and here in Georgetown, KY the heat index has been over 100* all week. Had not slept since Monday! Too dang hot as house was 90* all week!

i bought something similar to that but i think it was from amazon. it came with two batteries that look similar to that. i think it was $12 shipped for me. i had an app called 'battery left' and it shows the battery percentage, the health of the battery and the temperature. one of the batteries had bad health and the temperature read it was over 197* even though it wasnt hot at all. i tossed the bad battery. i still have the other one but i dont use it. i dont trust it and when i did use it i dont think it lasted very long. (im charging it up, im going to test it again.)

i hope it works out for you. i ended up buying an htc 1500 (works well). i use the external charger to charge my 1300 and 1500 batteries. it seems the charger works well. i ended up ordering the 2150 from vzw last night.

Well, here are my results from the 2600 mAh battery....just got home from work....

12h 26m 26s since unplugged

Battery at 64%

WIFI 21%
cell standby 24%
phone idle 21%
android system 19%
display 6%
camera 4%
voice calls 3%
bluetooth 2%

So, it definitely got me thr the night at work, but I am not sure it is enough for me to justify the added thickness and weight. Monday I will try again with my 1500 mah battery and see how it does. As long as I can make it and get home and be above 20%, I am happy as I charge it when I sleep anyway.

I am essentially looking at it as $14 for a charger that can be used separately from the phone. If even 1 of the 3 1500 mAH batteries works then I consider it a good deal. I will update with how they work after they come in (2-3 weeks most likely). I considered the same set with only 2 batteries for $9.27 or something that this seller has, but decided I liked the idea of a 3 pack. Better chances of having at least one good battery.

@ 27 1/2 hours and at 9% of battery..... trying to drain battery down before charging it....

After posting, I charged up the good battery and put it to use. I got almost two hours of awake time before it died on me. With the 1300 i can get about three to four hours of awake time. Looks like I won't be using that battery anymore.

Good luck. I hope they work out for you.

Got my battery and cover today. Mine doesn't fit well either. Fits fine top and bottom but seems like its bowed on the sides. Can see some red coming through. Guess I wasted 12 bucks.

Good to know, thanks for posting your results.

Found out today that a friend of mine got an Incredible today, this after I ordered another set of batteries I am going to run the paces on. This set is coming from a third party through Amazon. Worst case scenario I end up with a handful of dinky batteries I can keep in the glove box for a backup. Best case I now have a total of 6 batteries and 2 chargers coming that all work fine, I can give a couple to the friend that just got his and post results on AC.

The 2600 had its first full cycle over the last few days. It definitely takes time to charge this bad boy up, and some time to discharge it as well.

I put it in on Thursday evening and played some Robo, decided not to charge it overnight because it still held an 84% charge after around an hour of games. I went through all of yesterday with it, heavy use. Then last night it finally gave me a low battery popup at around midnight. I am very pleased. Considering the hour I am not surprised I forgot to check uptime before swapping batteries, but I would estimate between the two days around 9 hours of use.

Case still has a little red showing, it appears to be because it rests against the lens of the camera, I am going to be attacking it with a file or sandpaper to see if I can change the way it presses on the lens a little. All toll I like the feel and the life. I might have to order another one of these things for a spare.
