3 Button Earbud Controls?

The packaged Samsung earbuds are terrible. They let in too much external noise for me. I have a set of UrBeats that I got as a gift. The buttons for controlling media playback, calls, and volume don't work for some reason. Despite having worked on my S4. Anybody have any insight or recommendations?

Take the rubber covers off of the ear buds. I did it by accident and found out they fit and sound WAY better and there is hardly any ambient noise heard.

I've been using the Jay bird X2. Working great and has the 3 button control working perfectly
