Was wondering if I were to purchase the tab 4 7.0, why can you only use "up to" a 32 gig card? Would the new 128gb card work?

Probably the Tab 7 only supports SD cards with FAT32 file format? This limits the file size to 4GB and the total drive size to 32GB.

Hmm, i understand fat 32, and not being able to handle files over 4gb. But, you can format any size drive to fat 32...even tb hard drives. So don't think there is a limit to maximum amt of space?

It was in the theoretical part of the format, not sure if it can be 'bypassed'... But yeah, you're right, the option does show up for mostly any drive I've tried today (up to 64GB), so I guess it is possible. Hummm...

I ended up buying said tablet. 64gb card works fine. Will get 128 and see, but I suspect there will be no problems.

There is a reviewer on Amazon for the Tab 4 7.0 that used a 128gb card in an 8.0 and it worked. My guess is that it'll work, but do let us know. Right now I'm only running a 32gb in mine.
