Wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Ever since i upgraded to GB when I power my phone on the 3G and signal bars are white for a little bit then will change to blue. Just curious as to why it does that. Guy i work with has a Droid X on GB too and of does the same thing.

I believe the colored signal bars and 3G symbols indicate that the phone is communicating/syncing with Google's servers. When they're white, like when the phone is just being powered up, or coming out of airplane mode or something, they haven't had a chance to sync yet. This also happens if you switch from Wifi to 3G and back, etc.

Hope this helps! :)

This is a FAQ. A quick search of the forum for "icon color" brought up this recent thread: http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-droid-x/91502-gb-status-bar-icons-gmail-sync.html
