4.0.4 OTA has Arrived!

Force method didn't work for me. Then I went to check updates about 30 mins ago and it started downloading. Really hoping I experience better battery life!

I just got mine in the form of a notification, I didn't even have to click " check now" I'm in Los Angeles California, and its 10:15pm

Umm.... is anyone else having trouble trying to copy music over using PTP? Windows is now only showing my DCIM and Pictures folders, and copying any file over gives me an error.....

Edit: MTP works fine though. Weird...

Got the update a few minutes ago. FINALLY. My original Galaxy Nexus died this weekend (put itselfout of its own misery) and they shipped me another one. It came Tuesday and I was beside myself with anger that it was also running 4.0.2. Yesterday, VZW sent me a survey in which I REAMED them on what a half-baked disappointment the GNex has been and how frustrated I was with their inability to green-light a software update Google made available MONTHS ago, then tonight I got the update. Coincidence? :-] Obviously not since most of you also got it or will apparently get it soon, but it sure feels like it! So far, things seem noticeably more stable/smooth, but I'm in for the night so I'll see how the radios perform tomorrow.

Just Finally Got The Update, As of 11:50 pm Friday night june 1st, Saint Louis, MO. Checking over everything seeing what I can match to the list that was posted about what 4.0.4 fixes and adds on. So far my dbm is still at 100 with 40 asu but the only 4g towers are about 8 miles away from me, my average data down is 12mbps.and 6 up. and no change in signal strength or download and upload with update. I never had no phone call issues before or after either.. Goining to keep messing with it, godspeed in getting your updates.

OK got OTA notification and downloaded the update. :)

Unfortunately update failed. I am thinking it is because I have CW recovery instead of stock recovery. :( Other than that i am stock 4.02.

Is there a method to apply the update?

Flash back to stock recovery...seems like the only people having install fails are rooted.

I FINALLY got my update but only seemed to update when I was on wifi. I tried it on the network about 1minute before didn't go but when I put it on wifi I got it. I just finished a couple of minutes ago so haven't tested if I had any improvements yet. Will update results sometime

Got mine manually by doing what some others have suggested. Had to repeat this about 5 or 6 times, then the update came through.

1. Go to settings
2. Apps (make sure you are on 'all' tab)
3. Go to "Google Services Framework"
4. Force stop
5. Clear data
6. Go manually check for update though 'about phone' in settings.
7. Repeat until update comes through
