4.4.4 battery

I am seeing the same thing. Started the work morning at 100% and by noon I was only down 5%. Didn't use the phone much over that time but I would normally expect to be at about 75%. Very pleased so far.

Seeing the same thing here too. About 25% more battery life at the end of today than I usually have left.

Since I got the latest update from HTC (4.4.4) my phone battery was working well even saw a improve but lost night I notice in less than a few hour my battery life was at %75 then drop to 50 another hr was at %20 this morning charge fully couple hour later I had %50 ,have any one else having this issue ?

I performed the update this morning and I have to say there is definitely a noticeable improvement in battery life. I'll give it a couple of days before I declare victory. But this is a nice start.

So far the only thing I have noticed is that the fast boot and shutdown is truly fast again. I noticed it had slowed down some but I guess I got used to it. Now with the latest update the boot up is really fast again.

I noticed a decrease in vibration intensity. I think this is helping also.

I've noticed a slight increase in battery life too, but I do a fair bit of gaming on mine and expect to not see the same increases most others seem to have.

I actually noticed my battery is getting worse.

Your not on the stock ROM tho. You're on a rooted custom ROM. That could be your issue.

Actually custom ROMs are supposed to be more battery efficient than stock ROMs because all the unnecessary junk is removed, and also because it allows you to control which apps should be or shouldn't be running in the background eating up memory.

However 4.4.4 was specifically designed as an update for the STOCK ROM not anything custom. Therefore if you are running a custom ROM a stock update could adversely affect how it reacts to the new update. Last I checked Google nor the device manufacturers support custom ROMS.

You could be right, but at the same time 4.4.4 required a base/firmware update to go along with it which all of us performed (including those running custom ROMs) so I don't see how it could adversely affect. I have been running custom ROMs since almost 2008-2009 and have never had a worse experience than stock.

Until now...

By recent update I meant the one from HTC. It should have been obvious.

Bad battery after update. Factory reset didn't help either. My phone was the best till I was forced to update (another bug there). So frustrating.
