4-way usb hub for charging & data access?

Hi all, can I use a 4-way USB hub for charging purpose, and accessing data from a pen drive at the same time?

I've used a 4-way hub connected via OTG to see if I could connect more than one storage device at a time but found that only one of the storage devices is recognized (as USB-Disk1 or something close to that). But I do not think that the hub will work to charge the N7 and host a drive at the same time.
