Yep. its for real and real fast. However: It covers from San Francisco to Oakland to San Jose but a) does not touch Marin County (just north of Golden Gate Bridge) and b) only covers half or the city. I am flip-flopping between 3G and 4G all day depending on where in the city I happen to be. Needless to say, my battery drained pretty quickly (where's that Froyo when you need it?) Now, I NEEDS it! I did enjoy the quick web pages and other programs that access the net. Definitely wanna see more of that. Any other thoughts?

no telling where that is, I live in Vegas. But if your on a hill and ur not "Line of sight" to a 4g tower I suppose that might be a problem.

Line of sight. REALLY? Is 4g so different from 3g? I've been using 3g indoors for years with no problems.

VERY different.

4g is ~ 2.5GHz

3g (for Sprint) is ~1.9GHz

Lower the frequency the better the penetration and distance.

The more you know....
