4G LTE in Atlanta!

I had stopped at the sprint store here in Dallas yesterday to have them check the Nexus that I was buying from another person - the store employee said that I should keep the LTE radio off till June 22nd when the LTE is supposed to get turned on in Dallas. (I jokingly asked him if he meant 6/22/2013 and he said "noooo... this weekend dude")

Do I believe him? Not really. But I sure hope that happens!

Latest rumor is that Sprint will turn on 4G LTE before the end of June, as in this year. :p

Tomorrow is the 22nd which is the unofficial official GS3 release so if they do it then, that would be cool too. :)

It is gonna happen. The only question is when.

Mav.

My SIII 4G LTE is connected in the Jonesboro area of Atlanta. My Evo 4g would not connect to wimax in the same location so I'm very happy!!! Sprint is back in the game! Unlimited data also! Also this speed test was performed while I was on a call.

I find that kinda disappointing, I get faster speeds on wimax

*swyped from the evo so excuse any typos*

Finally got it here in Vinings! Only 3mbps right now though on speedtest. It's better than the 500kbps on POS 3g though!!! :D

Still no 4G LTE outside outside (6 miles) Atlanta. Was downtown this morning and got 4.5M download and .9M upload. Went to east side (Decatur area) and 3.2 download and 1.1M upload. So Atlanta was a trick? I also had my Epic 4G (WiMax) and was getting much better speeds on it in both 3G and 4G WiMax. LTE service is spotty at best and 3G is VERY VERY slow on LTE devices (Galaxy SIII & Evo LTE).

Where at in Vinings? Im sitting 9 floors up next to a North window on Paces and Cumberland and get jack with my GNex.

Sprint must only be letting 5 phones connect to the two towers they turned on in the entire Metro.
