Sprint Galaxy S8 Toggle between 3G and LTE without rebooting

I switched to Sprint recently for the year of free service, but they aren't the best with LTE data speeds in Miami. A lot of places 3G is actually faster than LTE, including my house.

Is there an easy way to toggle between 3G and LTE? The only way I found was to change the Network mode to CDMA. But that requires a reboot both to switch to 3G, and back to LTE. On the iPhone there's a toggle switch to turn LTE on or off. Something like that in settings would be really nice. Something in the notification shade would be even nicer.

I've attached screen shots of the settings I have under the Mobile Network settings. Changing any of the Network mode settings requires a reboot. I did try a few apps from the Play store that worked to switch to 3G without a reboot, but none of them were very polished.

Based on the image, network settings is on Automatic that case your network connection will switch automatically from LTE and 3G automatically. From what I've checked, in order to change network connection for Sprint devices, a reboot is needed to take effect.

However, you can try this simply trick for your phone:

Text instructions :

1. Enter *#0011#
2. Menu (Top right button) -> Key Input -> Type "Q" and press "OK"
3. Again go to Key Input -> Type "0000" and press "OK" and WAIT 10 Seconds
4. If you get a "0" response. Restart from Step 1, then it will work.
5. If the system is OK you will see "Main Menu"
6. Select Option [2] UE SETTING & INFO
7. Then Option [1] SETTING
8. Then Option [1] PROTOCOL
9. Then Option [2] NAS
10. Then Option [1] NETWORK CONTROL
11. Then Option [4] BAND SELECTION - Note if you are Duo's then select SIM1 or SIM2
12. Then Option [4] LTE Band Preference - NOTE Set [8] Automatic to disable LTE Only mode.
13. Then Option [8] LTE ALL

From there, you'll have an option to select your network without rebooting the device.

PS: I haven't tried it using Samsung S8 but this simple codes work on most Samsung series phones.

Wow, that's pretty complicated. I've found some apps that can do it easier than that, and without rebooting, but I'd love to have a button in the quick settings notification shade.
