5.0.1 for Nexus 6?

for my moto bought at&t running nexus 6 the download was one of those that started downloaded and disappeared. I pulled sim restarted and nothing, I then backed up all to cloud reset phone to factory started without the sim in but WIFI connected and "voila" downloaded as before but continued to the installation, added everything back on wifi only, set up phone then, installed at&t sim. It has updated and all is good. I experienced no restarts or screen problems prior battery life has always been good and nothing seems to be changed aside from version and build at this time. It seems the AT&T sim is somehow the culprit to my disappearing download prior.

I also have the att model nexus 6. I had too take the att Sim card out reboot it ,go to google services framework and delete framework data. Then reboot and download 5.01 .

So what we know now is that AT&T is holding up the upgrade, as I predicted. That's why the remove SIM trick works.

This procedure just worked for me. Thanks!

And I also want to say I have noticed with the update it does run smoother.lt has a few glitches which should be also be worked out. Pictures in contacts are fuzzy?! Modem improvements, and phone. No mind of its own yet! Now we know what's up though!

Didn't work for me. Still no update

Putting in a T-Mobile card and restarting twice did it for me.

I wasn't impressed with the performanxe improvements but when turning of the animation scales really helped (seemingly more than it did under 5.0). For the first time I'm happy with the performance of this device. Those lags when opening apps were excruciating and embarrassing (e.g. showing somebody the new phone and having to wait several seconds for an app to open, or multitasking...).

Same here, nothing. (plus the google service framework reset is not really a safe procedure, Google says).

I tried the procedure again this morning and it worked this time. You have to force stop then clear the data and it worked for me. Updated to 5.0.1. The first time I tried I pur my att Sim back in while the update was downloading and it immediately went away and said I was up to date. So att is doing something

Benjamin, how did you find out AT&T is holding back the upgrade?

AT&T should be held accountable for this stuff, seriously. Also, lollipop has this nice tethering button built in to the quick menu (didn't even know of it before) and it disappears as soon as I put the AT&T SIM back in, which is why I never noticed it.

However note that these problems don't appear to be hardwired into the phone: I actually bought mine from T-Mobile and had both the tethering and OTA upgrade issues just because I'm using the phone with my AT&T SIM all the time.

People with ATT haven't gotten the OTA, and when they restart without SIM they get it. The conclusion is obvious.

I took my Sim out for an hour and turned phone on. No update.

So is the issue with AT&T and 5.01 update only with those who got the Nexus 6 from AT&T, or is it also affecting people with phones bought through Motorola or Google with AT&T as the carrier?

read my earlier post bought phone at moto direct, used at&t sim, update downloaded, then disappeared and said up to date with no change in version or build. Removed sim restarted no joy, reset phone, set up on wifi, no sim got update downloaded and installed, put at&t sim in all is well. AT&T apparently want more control.

You should read this thread, such as my post a couple above yours...
