5.0.1 for Nexus 6?

Got the OTA update this evening. Downloaded it no problem but when it rebooted to install, there was an error message with the red triangle. I rooted my N6 right when I got it because my buddy told me I "had to" with this phone...to get the most out if it. Is it being rooted the cause of my inability to get the update? If so, what can I do? Please forgive my ignorance...this is my 1st foray into the world of rooting.

Yes.
Rooting and OTA updates do not mix. Incompatibility issues.
You can return to stock, get the update and re-root if you want to.

It's really not. I don't think this was anything other than certain bug fixes (like random reboots, etc).

Random reboots were seemingly NOT addressed in this update, according to the definitive thread on the matter in Google Product Forums.

Then I'm at a loss for what it actually did do, then. I haven't noticed much of anything. I haven't looked around for a change log, though.

I got the update yesterday around noon.. Updated and once it was done I couldn't get LTE the rest of the day... Rebooted a couple of times and checked the network settings and it was still set to the recommended LTE setting... Finally later last night it picked back up the LTE signal and now back at work it's on LTE again... I'm on T-Mobile and am always in a pretty strong LTE signal area... No clue what may of happened to cause it to not pick up LTE for about 6 hours.... but seems fine now... Battery life seemed to be a lot worse but that may have been the LTE issue... looking at the battery life chart it looks like it leveled off a lot more later in the night vs during the day after the update... I'll have to see how it does today and over the weekend... Outside of that I can't tell a difference between 5.0 and 5.0.1...... It worked pretty much flawlessly before the update.....

Mine said it had an update, started downloading, then jumped to the Check for Updates screen and said it was up to date. Still on 5.0.
