5.0.1 for Nexus 6?

I had the update, and was gonna update once I got home, and now the update is gone... Strange.

Few things I've noticed since I flashed the factory today.

The camera opens and is ready to take a photo much faster for me. It has the photo ready to view very quickly. These improvements are even in HDR mode.

The device overall seems to run better, but I'll have to wait and see if any battery life improvements show up.

I did run a Geekbench benchmark and found mine randomly shut off sometime after I ran it. Has randomly shutoff once on my this week already during a phone call of all things.

Did you post on my Google Forums thread?

I went ahead and side loaded the update early this morning. Running a few hours now and I'm finding task switching/overview to be much more responsive and quicker.

Of course that could all just be update placebo but we'll see how it goes over the day.

Sadly doubt it, since Google is basically claiming to have just heard about it in the Product Forums thread I started. PLEASE post there!!!!!

Man how often/bad is this reboot issue? I've now had my 6 for a month and it has not randomly rebooted once......... Since I've owned my 6 it's done a reboot (after asking) on a couple of updates and I rebooted manually twice because Youtube wasn't working and a reboot fixed it (and that hasn't been an issue the past 2+ weeks)

Would almost make me think it's not really the software if it's only happening to a small % of devices??? No clue what kind of hardware issue could be causing it....

EDIT: Never mind I guess some people are blaming it on 3rd party apps not agreeing with "L" I don't run a ton of 3rd party Apps so maybe I just don't have anything that is making "L" angry...

Woah, just tested the camera out after the update and taking photos with HDR on is much faster now.

Mine rebooted once and I was able to identify the hardware issue that caused it. I was holding it by the power button.

Daily.

It's not third party apps. Google is trying to pass the buck.

That stinks. I've yet to experience a reboot on mine unless I invoked it.

Yeah in a month I've not had the issue at all.... Sounds like it's limited to a select handful of devices... Not sure if there is something hardware wise acting up or it's a third party app.. I know I've had Apps screw up my phone before but that was when I had the Galaxy S3 about 2+ years ago.... Never had any issues with my Nexus 5 or 6 (so far at least)

Well that sucks and I am sorry to hear it..... Hopefully mine doesn't start acting up.... So far it's been super smooth and flawless.... I like to read about the issues people are having so I can compare to my experience.. I guess I am lucky (So far)

I had the update on my nexus 10 it was just about 8.5 MB. I don't think an update that size can do any magic.

Yeah second time you've replied to me saying it's not a third party app.... I've had Apps that caused my phone to have issues and once deleted the phone went back to normal...No clue what is causing you and a handful of people to have this issue.... Could be anything.... But you are pretty dang sure it's not an app... No way I could say definitively it wasn't an app.... But who knows.... Delete all your apps and take the next six weeks to add one at a time and wait for it to happen again.... (Joking with you as it was a suggestion from the Google Nexus Forum suggestion... Since there is no sarcasm "I'm joking" font to use.)
