5.0 has completely messed up auto screen brightness

Anyone else experiencing this? The auto brightness used to be pretty well calibrated. Now it's way too dark in almost all conditions.

Linked thread is a waste of time -- because, as other folks have found out, it doesn't change the brightness; instead, the screen is STILL too dim once you check the Auto box again.

I too am experiencing this problem. Auto screen brightness worked well on 4.4.4. Now it's terrible. This along with other issues makes me wish I could go back to KitKat. :'(
