5.1.1 update on VZ sim and LMY47D

See attached picture. Just got the notification. Strange cause I thought VZ do not have that out yet!! I also thought I had the wrong build and was planning to flash factory image and get back on LMY47E. I'll update tonight and report back the new build number.

I received the same message on my nexus. Unfortunately, after I hit download mine reads, "Waiting to download" ... then after 5 minutes it reads ... "Couldn't download. Try again." I'm on a FIOS connection with 150MBPS Up/Down.

My understanding is VZ build for 5.1 is LMY47E not LMY47D. And also, google has not released any 5.1.1 image for VZ, so I have no idea who is pushing this update to my phone LOL

It's possible that both of them did; perhaps build D finally has it's OTA being sent out, while Verizon simultaneously has approved it for their build E. Both D and E are probably updating to Z, so Google sent you D's OTA.

I just updated and now have build LMY47Z. This says it's a Sprint only build on Google developer site so looks like Google is pushing these depending on the build # u have on 5.1 and not the SIM of your carrier. Not sure what negative impact is there for being on VZ with a sprint 5.1.1 build. Might need to flash factory image so I'm back in the correct VZ build.

Well, have been using the phone for few hours and don't see issues yet. Below the the screen print with the build # on 5.1.1. Again I have a VZ SIM. but I need to note that I bought the phone from Craigslist brand new sealed though. The guy said he bought it from play store but I think he lied. I think this is actually was bought from sprint but never opened and activated. My head is spinning but things appear to be working just fine.

I is the newer build compared to D and I don't think that has anything to do with it. I honestly don't know why I got OTA upgrade on VZ SIM.

I think the play store ones on cdma all had the sprint d software version. Only the ones directly from Verizon had the e software version.

I did more research. LMY47D is not sprint specific build. The reason VZ nexus had LMY47E instead of LMY47D is because it was shipped later when LMY47E was out. LMY47E is just a newer build compared to LMY47D. They both will get updated to 5.1.1

Glad to hear this. If an N6 with a Verizon SIM on the D build got the 5.1.1 update, then my Verizon N6 on the E build will surely get it here soon. *Fingers crossed*
