If I remember correctly, I read Somewhere that 6.0-6.0.1 will be the last update for the nexus 7 2013... Nexus devices including others usually have only a 2 year span of when they receive updates. the tablet is running great with the new 6.0.1 update but it looks like the end of the life is here now for the N7... I'm guessing there will be a new Nexus tablet in 2016

The N7 2013 will not get the next version of Android (whatever they end up calling Android N), but I doubt 6.0.1 will be the last update it gets. Many of the so-called point updates are mainly bug fixes, so there's no reason it won't get those. Plus, it should continue to get security updates for some time.

I know for sure it won't get 7.0+, I was just thinking 6.0.1 is probably gonna be the last one... Let's hope you're right

I hope not since 6.01 has made my tablet run less smooth. 6.0 was great, but 6.01 has made my graphics stutter. Things don't seem as responsive.

Installed mine 12 hours ago. Overnight for the last 8 hours its lost 15% battery!!!! Looking in the battery stats nothing has been keeping it awake. Just hope this is just a bedding in period as 6.0.0 was working fine.

Have you cleared the cache partition on your device?

Yes, always do that before and after install plus app cache. Found out the issue is related to wifi. Turning it off brings battery usage back in line with 6.0.0
