6 returns and two phones later, I think I want to go back to G3.

And btw, I know how you feel

For like 2 weeks I was constantly thinking about my upgrade what phone I would get. I made note cards with a pro-con chart. It really helped me see what each phone had to offer. Some had more pros than others, but some of the pros weighed more as well.
In the end, I decided on the Sony Xperia Z3.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

So thinking about it the past few days, I'm unsure I can be happy with this phone for the next year. Originally I was gonna get the Moto x, but didn't like waiting the time for motomaker. I wanted instant gratification and went with the M8. I realize this was a mistake though since I do really miss stock android and I would like a 13mp camera. And I like that it'll get upgrades really quick. And I like it's size more than the M8. So I'm really thinking of just taking the money I was gonna get for my iPhone and have that help pay for the Moto x. I was gonna get 280 for the iPhone. I would like your guys opinion on this, but I'm just not sure how I feel about the m8 anymore.

My main hesitation with doing this if course is that its a lot of money all in all. It's 550 for the Moto x I'd want (32gb) and then I still would have to make the payments on the M8 until it's 600 dollar or so price is paid off. That's over a grand all together. Granted the payments are over time and I can sell the M8 after its paid off. But let's assume I can get maybe 250 from the M8. Maybe 300. That means I just wasted 300 dollars on a phone I didn't keep.

If that's what you want
Remember now, the Moto X is going to have problems and it won't be perfect
That's really important!

I know it won't be. For example, it'll have worse battery life than the M8. But it'll have a (I assume) better camera than the M8 as well as stock android and fast updates. As well as the cool voice controls.
I'm just getting very fatigued with this whole thing. I was excited to finally be able to upgrade from my 5S, but due to my open stupidity I now am stuck paying off a phone I'm not really as happy with as I thought I would be and quite a bit of money sunk in (I've spent about175 dollars in restocking fees) and I'm going to have to pay off the full price of the m8 because at isn't letting me do anymore returns or exchanges. I might try one more time at another store and just plead my case, but maybe I shouldn't push my luck anymore.

This whole thing was just such a disaster that was my own fault. Don't know if it was my OCD, anxiety or what. But I'm pretty mad at myself and don't know what to do from here. Either keep a phone I'm not super happy with for a year or so or just say forget it and get a The moto x off contract and still pay off the M8.

Just get a Note 3 or Note 4 and have as close to perfection as possible.

So, upon further further thought ( yes, I see your eye rolls) I'm gonna keep the phone. Honestly, I think I was blowing the camera thing out of proportion for myself. I can't see many times where I'll wish I had a better camera because I just don't take photos. And I do like everything else about the phone. And it's drawbacks are ones I can deal with honestly. For my next upgrade I'll probably try to get a phone with a better camera, but for now this is fine.

I'd much rather use that 500 dollars the Moto x would cost and use it to replace my 9 year old tv that pretty much on its last legs.

Good call. My M7 takes ace photos. Ignore the MP hype. And yes, fix the telly. Phone tech matured with the SGSIi/HTC sensation generation. Everything else ATM is just evolution

Have you checked oneplus one? It's a monster with beautiful UI.

You know, after all this I'm beginning to wonder if I should just go back to my 5S or not and if android is right for me. The Continuity features on ios and Mac OS (i may get a macbook one day) look really compelling and I'm still having the same hitching and stuttering on the M8 that I've always had on Android and not on its. Plus the 5S has a better camera than the m8, but a smaller screen and worse battery.

But if I did go back to the 5S that means I wasted my upgrade and money on the m8 if I don't use it.

I try to scroll post these threads but I always find myself reading them lol.

How old are you again bro?

Creating numerous threads about your indecisiveness and coming to no conclusion is a troll in my book

You can think whatever you like brother. I'm not a troll. And I'm getting tired of people thinking that.

And then in a few weeks time, another new Android phone will be announced, and regardless of what phone you're using, you'll still be wondering whether you made the right choice or if you should get something different.

We all know how this will go...
