Agreed, but would also suggest most would be touting those same speed tests, if in the N9's favor![]()
Definitely not me if that is what you are trying to say. I have zero interest in a Note 9 lol.

Why would extra ram be a battery drain?
Same here. Glad I did though. Some of the larger games will benefit from this. Also helps with multi tasking. It's sad and this how I'm obsessed with phones. I know the 6GB is more than enough but It's went ahead and preordered the 8GB.
Seems that the test is rigged in apples favor by not testing with Vulcan on both devices.Sorta... Laptops, with the Exception of Linux and Chromebooks, use RAM very differently than Android. On those devices unused RAM is a good thing.
The only "speed test" that matters the most is how fast can it get to my hands![]()
I'm going to get the 8GB version just because I'll be able to sell my stupid iPhone X for like $800. That'll offset most of the cost of the Note9.
Why don’t you like your X and why did you get one in the first place then?
If it needs 8GB of RAM to operate smoothly the software needs to be tweaked. The A11 Bionic with 3GB of RAM still smokes the Note 9. The answer isn't more RAM, it's better code.
If you are planning to keep the phone for a while, you should opt for the 8GB version. Thats what that model is catered to, people who are gonna rock it for at least a year and a half or so.
If anyone plans on keeping this phone more then 2 years id defiently go 8GB,,,...
