6P and Heat

Pre-ordered a 64gb 6P in Graphite today. After watching the unveiling and some hands on videos on YouTube, I am starting to worry about how the 6P will handle heat, both in use, and in charging. My N6 heats up quite a bit when on a turbo charger, or if I am watching videos or playing games. I can only imagine that the aluminum body of the 6P will get exceptionally hot.

A common misconception of metal is that it's worse for heat, but that's not true. Metal is a heat conductor, and it acts like a heat sink. It absorbs more heat than plastic can, and releases it faster. Since humans can't feel temperature, and only the transfer of heat, it feels like the metal is hotter but in reality it's probably cooler than plastic under similar circumstances. The 6P's aluminum chassis combined with the much-improved Snapdragon 810 v2.1 bodes well for heat management. It'll undoubtedly get hot but there won't be any danger to internal components and it shouldn't get unbearable.
