6p on AT&T ?'s Please

Depends on where you live too. Coming from an Galaxy S6 Unlocked SM-G920F on AT&T in NYC the 6P on AT&T is a huge upgrade since it has all the bands. The SM-G920F was a UK version that didn't have all AT&T LTE bands.

I work in a basement and I barley would get service, wouldn't get texts, but now no problem.

I use my Nexus 6P on AT&T in southern California. Depending on where I am I average about 27mb down. Inside the mall and on some freeways I get over 90mbps down.

My previous phone was an unlocked gs6 I got the same speeds but at work at my desk I at lease got edge speeds. With my 6p I get no connection. :(

Yeah. What a difference it makes. HD Voice just started working on my Iphone 6S+ a few months ago and it is awesome! This may be a deal breaker.

Hopefully AT&T will bring it to Android. VoLTE & HD voice for T-Mobile is working fine with the stock 6P.

Att user here as well and I can say this phone has really good antennas in it. I had a note 5 and that struggled to even get 3 bars of service in my house. The 6p seems to always be full in my house. So that's a plus for me.great service, great phone period.

AT&T already offers it on Android phones. ONLY on AT&T branded phones however. Its very unlikely that until HD Voice (VoLTE) will come to third party phones on AT&T until it becomes standard on every phone.

what are you ATT folks using for APN to get LTE? I am in an ATT LTE area I've tried a few found on here with no luck yet

ATT Nextgenphone
default,mms,supl,hipri

In Phoenix, AZ.

But if I've learned anything from the pages and pages of threads on AT&T (and Verizon) LTE, you could set your APN to the same thing and still not get LTE. It's a crazy mess. But - try that and see it how it goes. Make sure you reboot your phone after you change it.

Good luck!

Thanks tried it and still a no go, oh well :(
- Sometimes I might get H other times nothing, although I have a strong 4 bars of service
- I've been on with ATT, upgraded my imei # with them, turned off the phone and then removed the sim card, rebooted, etc., etc.
- Spent an hour on the phone with Google Tech Service and got the same old line "we've had no other complaints"
- Scoured the 6P threads for answers to no avail
- I might return it as during my work week I spend a considerable amount of time well out of the range of WiFi and count on the strength of my ATT LTE service quite heavily

:(

So far so good. Used AT&T with my N6P for all but one day when I tried Google FI. Was not impressed with FI at least not in my area and not at this time. I have had zero issues with AT&T even updating my IMEI went smooth.

Thanks.

Your issue is most likely caused by the SIM linked to a unrecognized IMEI in the AT&T database. Just link your SIM to a know LTE device (YOur previous LTE device is fine).Or go to the store and ask them to activate and LTE sim for you.
