Decided to record the twins trimming the "kids tree" last night. Started w/ the 6P, switched to the S6 Active. Everything was constant (lighting/etc). As suspected, the S6 w/ it's OIS did much better, not to mention was much more consistent around lighting. Still love my 6P, but as most have stated, video is its weak spot.

That's insane. I've been wavering back and forth between this and the S6 edge+, because I haven't been impressed with this camera. This may have just sealed it for me. It's a very important part of my phone use.

I don't think the lack of ois is a big deal here. The problem is the 6p's insistence on spot metering. It is trying to constantly adjust the exposure so that the "subject" is properly exposed, while the S6 seems to meter for the whole scene. Spot metering can be great for certain kinds of photographs, but generally not great for video.

Although the 6P is a much improved camera especially for the Nexus line, in my experience it is still not up with the S6 series cameras. I have the S6 and S6 Active and they have top notch cameras. Thinking of selling my S6 since the S6 active has Samsung Pay now. Hard to beat the 3500 mAh battery in the S6 Active.
