Well that's true for users on the forums. Many people don't care about updatesHonor should implement the original TURD policy.
"The Update Regularly Deal"
Without the TURD promise they will be in trouble with US users.
They promised monthly updates on the new mateThey're working on it. Doubt it'll be monthly updates right away.
Or let other people do it for them.Of course, they didn't get to be as big as they are without some brains
Yah I wanna see how that goes before trusting their wordsThey promised monthly updates on the new mate
Factory sealed box doesn't mean much. I mean there were pixel 2 xl which left the factory with no bloat... Or software for that matterFar as I can tell with the current ROM there is no update path.
This phone should have arrived with nougat unless it had an early manufacture date. I keep seeing something about a custom folder which I thought had to do with rooting outside factory firmware.
Just to note this phone came in a factory sealed box...
So I'm still at a total loss here. Maybe it does need warranty work.![]()
How long do they have to do monthly updates before you can trust their words?Yah I wanna see how that goes before trusting their words
I am lost as to what you mean hereOr let other people do it for them.
Good point...Factory sealed box doesn't mean much. I mean there were pixel 2 xl which left the factory with no bloat... Or software for that matter
Have you tried to contact them? Perhaps you can send it in and they can flash it for youGood point...
I'm thinking this one may have slipped through also.

Oh that's true. You will unfortunately be out of a phone for a while, even if they are willing to do it.
I will try that.
The wife may not want me to do that though.
At least a year. Easy for any company to say stuff like that and turned their back after a year. How long do they have to do monthly updates before you can trust their words?
That sounds like a good enough time. Although by then the mate 11 would be outAt least a year. Easy for any company to say stuff like that and turned their back after a year.
Contacting huawei is your best solution if nothing else helped. There's nothing in firmware finder for a Nougat version 6x?Far as I can tell with the current ROM there is no update path.

Exactly. Will they continue to support after a new model is out? That's what I wanna find outThat sounds like a good enough time. Although by then the mate 11 would be out
New model is out...Exactly. Will they continue to support after a new model is out? That's what I wanna find out
It probably isn't going to work because they only allow updates from specific software versionsContacting huawei is your best solution if nothing else helped. There's nothing in firmware finder for a Nougat version 6x?
Oh in that case then you would probably need 1.5 or 2 yearsExactly. Will they continue to support after a new model is out? That's what I wanna find out
