7/16/2012 NO CHARGE OR EMAIL (GP Check-in Thread)

As of this morning I have heard nothing either. I ordered a n7 & case on 7/28. I guess we are most likely looking at Thursday or Friday delivery hopefully. I'm getting to the point were I' ll be happy if I just here something, anything this week.

I'm not really upset, just a little frustrated seeing people who ordered weeks after me get shipping info already. (good for them). I chalk it up as a lesson learned to never preorder anything from the play store again.

I'm assuming you meant 6/28 and not 7/28 otherwise if you got it this week that would mean you've somehow managed time travel

Yeah, I meant 6/28. I think something went wrong with their processing, that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Ordered 16GB, no accessories, on 7/3. No email and no CC charge yet. Bought one @ Sam's on Sat 7/14. I've called and emailed GP to canx my pre-order but I doubt that will happen. I'll probably refuse delivery, IF it ever shows up.

Oh, and I unchecked the "Link to My Account" option since this is for my son.

I don't know if anyone else has talked about this but I'm wondering if these shipping delays might have something to do with having the account pre-setup before shipping them. I have placed two orders on two very disparate dates. The first on 6/27 at about 1pm for a 16GB model with a case and my account set up on the device. The second was placed for my girlfriend on July 9th for an 8GB with no accessories and no account set up. That second one is arriving today according to UPS.

(This was a reply to ehaus81 but didn't post as a reply.)

I posted the same here last night but a number of responses have said they did not select this option. However, I think it was selected by default and needed to be de-selected if you didn't want it linked.

My order (placed 6/27 ~2pm eastern, 16g with case, account linked) charged yesterday morning, shipping notice came last night, then about 1am I finally started seeing it on UPS tracking. It reached the local UPS depot overnight and is out for delivery now.

It almost feels like orders were processed like a stack instead of a queue and that the latest orders were pulled off for processing first rather than first come first served.

My tracking updated yesterday. Looks like they are all shipping out of Kentucky.

As of a few minutes ago...out for delivery!! Which means this afternoon for me. 8)

I ordered two devices 7/6 and have not received any word. One is a 16GB linked to my account the other is an 8GB not linked to an account since it is for my father. I have heard nothing and got so sick of waiting I bought the last one (16Gb) from my local Staples. This thing is freaking sweet!! I guess I will either sell the extra 16GB I get on ebay of sell it to my Roommate. It is pretty sad that a preorder has completely lost it's meaning as for as Google can tell.

7/6, 16gb, no charge or notification email yet. But I just saw this change on the google help page (bold added)

"We're now shipping Nexus 7 preorders. Many US and Australia preorders are scheduled to ship by July 17th. UK and Canada preorders have also begun shipping in waves."

Thanks, Google. Looks like today might STILL not be the day.
