I just talked to a Play store rep. The guy was so nice and courteous that I couldn't really be mad, although I never try to lose my temper with people on the phone, it just makes it worse.
I won't be getting my N7 and case until Monday or Tuesday of next week. They told me they escalated my shipping to overnight but, that really means nothing to me now. They said my order was held up because of the case and it was a 16GB model. I don't believe them but there is nothing I can do about it. They know people really want this device so, they got us.
Next week is actually better for me anyway since I'll be off all week. That's if they were telling the truth. l'll feel better when I actually get a tracking number. Ordered 6/28
That really is disappointing to hear (especially since I also ordered an N7 with case on June 28th). Next week is not better for me because I am leaving for vacation!
They should have shipped the N7 to us by tomorrow and sent us the case separately next week. What they are indicating to me is that they are more interested in saving money on shipping costs, than they are in assuring customer satisfaction.
This is really unacceptable and I don't understand why the tech media isn't all over this. If this was the way an Apple launch was handled it would be reported on every major tech blog (Engadget, Gizmodo, etc.) ad nauseam.
