I want to install gROM on my phone, but I was wondering a few things.
1. Can I install it without installing ZVH?
2. What would happen if I did do that?
3. How can I install ZVH without a computer?
4. If I do install ZVH, can I retain CM7 or Reborn ROM or even install ZVH without the need to go to stock or lose my custom recovery?

I’m no expert, but here’s what I’ve learned from reading the threads:
1. & 2. Yes, you can install it but you won’t have any Sprint connectivity (i.e. no calls or Sprint data). Wifi might still work. This is because gROM is designed for use with updated radio firmware.
3. If you’re talking about the unrooted version, then yes I believe it’s possible to do just by downloading and flashing the appropriate update.zip file. If you want to be able to root it, I don’t think it’s possible because it requires installing the V9 custom recovery, which requires the use of a computer. I think sfhub’s instructions are the only known way of rooting ZVH at this point.
4. No, installing ZVH updates the radio firmware. Flashing (either fresh or from a nandroid) either CM7 or Reborn ROM won’t update the radio firmware, so if you have installed the ZVH update (which updates your radio firmware), then you will have CM7 and Reborn with no Sprint connectivity. I believe wifi might still work.

In a nutshell, it’s not very easy to switch back and forth because the radio firmware needs to be changed with each switch. Good luck!
