Discussing this phone in another thread and wanted to post a couple of pictures comparing the Axon 7 to the Note 4. Pictures taken with a LG G4. WD-40 is just to give a known color reference.

The color seems to change pretty dramatically when the screens are on in the pictures. The phones are on plain white copy paper.

Some other thoughts to go with this:

1> My carrier is AT&T, I have no issues to this point using LTE with the sim in either slot. I'm not sure if it does it on the Note 4 or the G4 but when I am on a phone call the icon changes from LTE to just 4G. I am still able to browse etc while on the call.

2>Battery life has been very good for me. ending my day at about 35%. My normal day of use puts both the G4 and the Note 4 at 10-15% or less, sometimes needing a bit of a charge, to make it through the day from 5AM to 9PM.

3>I have had zero random reboots that I am aware of. Since I listen to a bluetooth headset for music during my work day I would know if one happened during that time but at night I would not be aware of one.

4>Speed of the unit is quite zippy. The UI comes with two launchers built in, the MiFavor one and the Stock Android one. I normally use Nova Prime and have experienced no lag or stuttering that I can see.

5>Fingerprint scanner to unlock the device has been flawless and very quick...almost instantaneous.

6>I have not used the camera very much but the pictures I have taken have turned out satisfactory.

7>There has been no skips or pops in the bluetooth music streaming that plagued my Note 4.

I also have had virtually no issues at all with my Axon 7. Yesterday I browsed the AC forums for practically all the major phones. Almost all have issues of some kind. So far, the Axon 7 is my favorite phone.

I agree with this phone being the best one available! I have no issues. Too bad the Galaxy S7 is still listed as the best phone for under $700.00
Clearly this site is a fan of the Galaxy line! You can keep all those over priced rip off phones. I will keep my Axon and put the $300.00 or more to better use!

Seriously. I keep expecting new categories for AC to list so that they can keep saying the S7 is the greatest phone ever invented, such as "Best phone with a glass back" or "Best phone that begins with the letter G".

I've used one and sent it back due to touchwiz being an absolute battery ***** and a fingerprint reader so useless I eventually turned it off and went back to just a pin. I see it's worth for some of its features such as the top notch camera and water resistance which is nice to have, but overall I wasn't impressed.

Ok, after the "big news" of the Pixel today, how many are happy they saved a bunch of money and went with the Axon 7? I am for sure...ecstatic would be more like it.

I have still had zero issues with this phone. No random reboots, no freezing, no lag that I can see. Overall a flawless phone for my purposes.

Have you tried listening to music through the headphone jack ? Interested to know if sound is really good with the separate DAC,especially with lossless files like FLAC. (Bluetooth does not use that DAC...) Thanks !

I normally use Bluetooth mostly for the convenience of no wires that pass vibrations from movement and also snag on things while I'm working. However, I do think the wired set sounds better than my Bluetooth, although at my age I may not be the best person to do a comparison. My music is all in mp3 format. Keep in mind it can be a difference in head sets as well. The wired set I have came with my HTC One M7, so they are the Beats brand unbranded if that makes sense. My Bluetooth set is the LG800. Bass and highs sound better with the wired set. Not so much that I am willing to always use them but definitely better. The wired set that came with the Axon 7 suck in my opinion. Nice that they included a set but would be nice to include a decent pair.

My Sony MDR-1ABT's sound just as good as wired to my ears! Both headset and device (G4 and Zenphone 2) support aptX codec for BT.

Does anyone know if Axon 7 supports aptX for BT?

My LG800 set supports aptx but I can't find anything that says the phone does. I don't know what the advantage would be, since the music sounds the same as it did on my LG G4 with the same Bluetooth headset.

With your headset, you'd probably only be able to hear a discernible difference with higher quality format like FLAC or higher KBPS. Most of my music I DL at 320kbps and I hear a fuller, richer and higher volume (output) through BT (w/aptX) with my cans. You want better sound, you need to try out some higher quality headsets!

Nice idea, but since my work environment is quite loud I doubt I could hear any difference. I don't use headphones at home...

Yep the zte axon 7 with those speakers a qhd display great design and a low price tag is hard to beat if you want a flagship smartphone.

I love mines I'm glued to it my poor note 7 looking at me like damn u traitor lol
