A new Android user appears...

Hi all, I'm navizero. I just thought I'd finally register and become a contributing member.

I've been intrigued by android for the last year or so, but it was a passing interest until I got a garminfone. The phone was quite honestly garbage, always freezing or stuttering, until the digitizer gave out and I realized that because I had gotten it second-hand and Garmin-Asus was no more, I was out a phone. However, the Android OS kept my interest, and I've been looking into getting a new, more reliable model. I hope to have a proper experience with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (I've heard it's a nice start since it's a clean android experience and I'll never want to leave). Until then, I'm really content just to see what the modding community is like, what apps are hot and styling, and how Google is going to make the OS even better.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to check for Galaxy Nexus news for the fourth or fifth time today while rubbing my hands in gleeful anticipation whilst holding back both maniacal laughter and undignified squealing at the thought of what a new phone can help me accomplish in my plans for world and or internet domination.

Yeah, I had to go back to a slide phone after my garminfone up and became utterly unreliable for touch responsiveness. It's actually killing me having to backslide, hence my desire to find a good starter phone. If you can think of a better GSM phone besides waiting for the Galaxy Nexus, please let me know. I'm not going to be able to get a phone until Dec 15 (I want to buy the phone outright and being an intern pays metaphorical peanuts), so I have plenty of time to decide and agonize and anticipate.
