Over on XDA-developers [LINK], there is some debate going on about this POST from SizzleCore about the latest OTA of FroYo.

There is a bit of uncertantity about the authenticity of the post, but much farther down another poster linked to a Tweet from a Google Europe employee about FRF72.

For whatever it is worth.

So far the thread is long on rumor and short on proof, and even shorter on WHO its getting pushed to. Could just be an RC2 pushed to the same few employee and "press phones" who got the first push.

We are approaching the outer edge of the definition of "Few weeks".
So it could be true.

Honestly, I am at the point of: release FroYo or give us some info, but these vague references are wearing thin.

If my employer pulled this kind of stuff our clients would not tolerate it.

Some people on Twitter have said they got an update today for their Nexus Ones. It's an update to FroYo for those that already have it. I'd like to think once this update goes out, then the rest of us will get FroYo up to that version.

Looks to be just a maintenance/bug fix release for the version they sent out earlier.

However, their original stated deadline for general release is about to expire.

Well to be fair, their original statement wasn't a "Deadline" in any sense of the word, and even common usage of the word "few" is ambiguous at best.

We could get it next week, or we could get it next month or the month after that and still fall into the definition of "few" in common usage.

Cue talk of open letter/class-action lawsuit/telling Google's mommy in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

I agree, just stating what's sure to become a flood of posts claiming a "few" is 3, no more, no less.

Personally, I think I'll have an iPhone 4 in my hands before the GM Froyo goes OTA to end users.

These sites sizzlecore and tipsneeded are blogging sites best as I can determine, and in Alex's post it is by a 15 year old. Hardly official or even worth mentioning. The 15 year old just took sizzlecore's post and reworked it.

I had no idea that a 15 year old wrote the story about FRF72, I would agree that 15 year old is not a very reliable source.
