I think I am not understanding the question...
They are widgets, they do not replace your homescreen. They are elements added to your current screen, you can easily remove them by hard-pressing on them, and dragging them to remove.
Is that what you are asking? Or am I misinterpreting?
yes. sort of. I've never used anything other than the stock widgets and it wasn't clear how to go back to the stock settings if I do not like a widget I've changed on my homescreen for example.
