About the KitKat update

While reading the XDA nexus 4 forums I noticed that the nexus 4 was released on 13th November 2012. Could this mean Google is waiting for 13th November to push the KitKat update as a 1 year anniversary celebration thingie?

Well time will tell. Only a few days away. Even if they start pushing on that date I won't get it for like a week. I am always at the end of the list for some reason

Ohh cool, I'm off the 13th. Would be a perfect day, I can update 2 Rooted Nexus 4's, a Rooted Nexus 7 and a Rooted Nexus 10.

Hopefully this is true, I wouldn't mind it coming before then though.

I don't think anyone at Google cares about that date. In sure they're just waiting until it's ready to go. Also, I suggest you try the nexus 5 port. It might end up being better than the factory image anyway.

Really? I'm loving the nexus 5 port, but I haven't tried aosp. It seriously feels like an official build.

I'm really more surprised there hasn't been a leak. I had 4.3 on my device before it was even officially released.
