Me & my little brother both use the motorola droid and of all the apps we use, the ones we use the most has got to be between Handcent (pop-up feature is crucial), Fandango (like Movies layout better but you can't buy tickets to the movie theater closest to me), & I also gotta go w/ the Bank of America app...because I'm both obsessed and paranoid about overdrawing any of my accounts
 
I'd have to say the three that go on my Droid before any others anytime I switch ROMs is Handset SMS, Astro , and SetCPU.

I travel a lot to various areas of the USofA, so here is my important list:

1.Swype-Able to text at the speed of light
2.Google Maps-never lost
3.Flixster-when you just need to go to a movie
4.Shazam-when you have to know the name of that song
5.eBuddy-great for keeping in touch with AIM, Facebook, MSN, etc friends
6.Handcent-like the customizable aspect of this text program
7.Aloqa-when you want to know where to eat, shop, party, or sleep when on the road
8.Google Translator-Translating between you and the rest of the world
9.ShopSavy-when you have to know how much something costs and price comparison
10.PDAnet-when there is no free wifi to be found for your computer

These are all free apps (or have free versions) and help make my Droid the best phone I have ever had!
