I really like the stock file explorer.
What are the advantages of the ES explorer?

you don't need ES explorer for basic use.
i used to use it for APK files which wouldn't open or couldn't download. so ES explorer helped there.
maybe some people use it for Rooted phone.

Beware, every version of the Google camera app I have found scans as malware on virus total and nvisio.

rear facing camera working.
Blur effect is working,
HDR+ is working
selfie camera not working.

2 Things I use on every new phone.... Next SMS. I like it better than the stock messaging app. And Swiftkey keyboard. LOVE that one. And as far as games, I have to have Word Chums. Addicted to it. LOL

I got an unlocked S9+ today and installed this app just now. Works perfectly. I disabled all the Bixby garbage.

I also recommend installing Adguard Pro to block ads systemwide on any Android phone. It blocks ads even in apps. You have to side load it from adguard.com. I have a lifetime license for any device I still use.

Nova Launcher - Right now, it's the best for how I use my phone. I would be on Microsoft Launcher if it had a way to show a shadow on the top and bottom of the screen.

SwiftKey - I'm been on it since the Beta.

Droid TV - Not on Google Play, but downloads the grand majority of network TV shows to your phone.

Swift Installer - Substratum made easy.

Bible - The YouVersion one is the best one available and it's free.

FX File Manger - Not the most popular choice, but I like how it works.

Purchased Apps - Good app to see anything you've purchased from Google Play, even the temporarily free ones.

SD Maid - The only thing I'll use for cleaning the cache and extra stuff.
