AC website horrible performance

It this just me or does the mobile site for Android Central have a bunch of js lag? I'm barely able to scroll the page up and down and when I do get it to scroll it is very laggy.

Using Chrome on a nexus 7.

Incidentally I noticed that if I disable Javascript the scrolling is FAR better, perfectly normal.

Ironic that its Android Central I'm having trouble with...

Bizarrely, for me, the mobile site is fine, but this new look site on my MacBook is laggy as hell. It's awful, it sticks and jerks so much I can barely use it. And all the fancy HTML5 scrolling of sections and stuff just locks up chrome for me. And I have 8GB RAM!
