Honestly, "RAM cleaners" generally don't improve the performance of your phone, and are often detrimental. They're at odds with how the system works, because Android prefers RAM to be mostly full of open apps -- it's not like Windows, which prefers empty RAM. These kinds of app may have been helpful with much older versions of Android (where RAM management could be more problematic), but not with modern versions.

Amazed that these are so often recommended and highly rated. Visually it makes it seem as if you just got a great boost... they are loaded with spam and adware and dont even do anything.

I never use them and never will.
