Access S7 with broken black screen

All right all, looking for the hive mind's help here.

I dropped my S7 and the screen turned completely black. I already purchased an S9 (ouch!) and recovered much of the apps and other things, however a few fairly important SMSs are not up to date and there are a few other things which I would prefer to get from S7.

Ideally I would prefer to view the screen on another phone or PC. The obvious challenge is the touch functions don't work and I can't see anything anyway. The phone is completely stock.

Would love your suggestions. Thank you all in advance.

This is a pretty common issue, and unfortunately I don't think you have any option besides getting the screen replaced. The phone doesn't support any hard-wired connection to a TV (i.e., MHL or Slimport), and installing any software solution would require you to access the screen. Even if you had a way to remotely access the screen, you'd still have to get past the screen lock. Sorry! We can still hold out hope that someone else has some magic up their sleeve.
