accidentally inserted s pen backwards

So, i was just messing around with my s pen while drawing on my phone and watching tv when I decided to put the s pen back and I accidently put it in backwards, i ended up wedging it out (I've seen some people say there are videos but I didn't know) And now it constantly thinks it's out, it doesn't think it went back into the phone....i scratched it a little while getting out so I don't know if it's ok??? I don't think it will interfere with anything but I'm still worried that some of my apps won't work if it thinks it's out.... And i just got this phone about 5 months ago so I can't buy another one.... I use a Samsung galaxy note s5

Welcome to Android Central! My understanding is that once that sensor is damaged, the S Pen won't work properly any more for the phone. The S Pen isn't required to use your phone, so it shouldn't be a problem -- but you might get constant nagging notifications that the S Pen is out.
