I just bought the Galaxy 3. I am reading the owners manual and I cannot figure out exactly what the accounts and sync option does. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!!!

accounts and sync keeps you google account data and your phone in sync. for example email/calendar/chrome book mark etc.. all google service.

if you disable it you have to manually sync it when you open the app.
