Accuweather widget stuck on "loading your weather"...

No matter what I've done, the Accuweather widget always ends up getting stuck on "loading your weather". I've allowed any and all permissions, no battery restrictions, I rebooted, cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the widget and it always ends up hanging.
Sometimes it takes a few hours for it to hang, sometimes 5 mins.

Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
Any solutions?

You'll notice that the Accuweather app also sometimes gets stuck on the sky blue screen. It may be a problem with their server. I'm giving it a week, then looking for another weather app.

I should of added that this has been happening since I had the phone (Mar 2018).

The AccuWeather widget just sucks. I've had it on other devices and it's never been consistent. I just stopped using it.

Noticed similar problem with AccuWeather Premium app on Pixel 2 XL. Radar would also hang. There was an update yesterday, and so far app is working as expected. The Now, Hourly, Daily, and Radar are showing information right away, instead of hanging and showing nothing.

I have accuweather platinum for a few years now. it just decided not to work and keeps telling me to uninstall because it had updated to a new version. this only happened when I got my s9. I just got rid of it and installed weather channel

Accuweather pushed an update yesterday and it looks like it fixed the crash bug.....FINALLY!

Nevermind. Stupid widget crashed again. But at least it held on for about a day.

I am having the same issue. Galaxy S9. I use the widget on my home screen. It is stuck on "Loading your weather..." This has been going on for a few weeks now. I've removed the widget, re-added it and it shows up and works fine for a little while, but then gets stuck shortly after. Frustrating, and will likely find a new app soon. Been waiting for an update for it to fix itself, but nothing yet. The widget is a perfect fit on my home page, so I am trying to hold off as long as I can. Will monitor this thread if anyone has any luck fixing.

A quick update, I contacted Accuweather in regards to this. They responded:

"We are aware of the problem that you are experiencing, and are actively working on a solution. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Not much of a response, but at least it appears they are aware of the problem. Now let's see if they can fix it.

well..I'm on a different model of samsung phone and the problem just came and slapped me in the face last night, first on my samsung tablet, then on my phone on boot this morning. dunno if that means anything to anyone here..

Looks like the latest update finally fixed it! It's been several days since I updated and i'm thankful to say there are no problems.....other launching the app is now terribly slow! LOL!

Aaaaaaaaand it crashed....again! Too bad. This time It held on for a long time.

Here is a little tidbit. The widget just reappeared. Looks like it's able to recover on its own now.

Shame that you guys are having problems. I just checked my AccuWeather and I have absolutely no issues. Have you guys done something to your phone that causes this? I’ve had this on my iPhone,iPad, and now my galaxy S9 and no hiccups .

I've got a Galaxy S8 Plus and I have the same problem. The widget just disappears from my home screen and says loading weather

its STILL doing it for me as well. I went back to 1weather.
