Hey, have you guys seen this? Too good to be true? I mean, I'm a huge tech geek, and this seems almost too simple to be real...

YouTube - ‪ClockWorkMod running on Acer Iconia A500‬‏

For those of you that don't know, dd in linux/unix terms means "dump disk" and is essentially the linux/unix way to copy a disk image. I do it all the time to make dvd images or copy a dvd image to a disk...

At the same time, the guy that made the video is apparently working with a leaked bootloader. I sincerely hope it's real because it means we may have custom ROMs here pretty soon.

Here's a link to the discussion at xda :

Thoughts anyone?

Will or should be awesome if indeed its the real deal and not some fake scripts running plain text. One can only hope it's the real deal.

Looking legit. I pulled down the image files - but to hesitant to appy.. it exists on the Iconia but is not yet functional..

It looks like all the scripts need to be written and tested.

I wish them luck. Hopefully they can make it so the average joe can apply it easily..

I hope it's the real deal, as well. I'm looking forward to some custom ROMs running on Honeycomb.

It is legit, but they're doing more testing before public release. Definitely a big step forward!
